Working closely together
Balancing Act (Cambridge) Ltd is a small team who work closely together to give you the best service possible. Each team member has their own clients, this way we can develop a good understanding of your business and nurture a strong working relationship. We are home based and happy to travel to clients for meetings, alternatively, we use Zoom for virtual meetings.
We work with limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities within a range of sectors including education, entertainment, construction, and retail. We are members of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and are Xero Certified.
We use a range of software including Xero, Quick Books and Sage. We work fully digital or hardcopy accounts or a hybrid of both. We take security very seriously and use Last Pass and Oasis Shredding to protect our clients’ data.
The Team
Julie Whiteside – Director
Julie is the principal director of Balancing Act (Cambridge) Limited.
Julie qualified as an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified book-keepers in 2005, scoring an impressive 97% in her final exams. Julie was trained in manual systems, giving her greater depth and experience compared to those who have just been trained on computer-Â based book-keeping.
Julie handles some of the more complex clients and has developed a number of bookkeeping processes that have been follow throughout the company and passed onto many clients.
Julie has two grown-up children, and in her spare time enjoys gardening and home crafts, as well as cooking & playing the piano.
Lydia Dickinson – Director
Lydia qualified with the ICB in 2013 and is accredited MICB, also qualified Level 3 Diploma in Self-Assessment.
She has gained a vast array of experience and manages the bulk of the customer base. She supports all her clients with their bookkeeping needs, whether it is dealing with the day-to-day finances, providing monthly management accounts or specific niche requests.
Lydia has two young children. She enjoys gardening and spending time with family, often either on a football pitch or gymnastic club!
